These pictures will be included in graduation party invitations, sent out to family members to share the good news, and placed in the school year book for everyone to see for years to come. How do you get the perfect senior picture? Do you have the pictures taken inside or outside? Do you use a professional photographer? How much should they cost? These and many other questions are answered on my site to help other parents get through a stressful situation with less stress than I did.

Helpful Tips When Shopping For Pumpkins At A Pumpkin Patch

When fall starts getting closer, pumpkins start getting sold more frequently. One of the best places you can buy a pumpkin is at a pumpkin patch. There are many varieties and you can have success buying from this place by remembering these great tips.

Look For a Hard Stem

There are several important aspects of a pumpkin, but from a health standpoint, one of the most relevant is the stem. You'll want to look at every stem on the pumpkins you see at the pumpkin patch. Ideally, you want them to be hard.

That's because loose stems are usually good indicators of potential rot or the pumpkin will be more susceptible to rotting later on. That's the last thing you need, especially if you plan on using the pumpkin for months around your property. Grab ahold of pumpkin stems and make sure they're completely secure before purchasing.

Make Sure There Aren't Soft Spots

Another good indication of a healthy pumpkin is one that doesn't have any soft spots. If it did, then that generally means excessive moisture has affected the pumpkin or even insects. It will thus be more likely to rot, or mold can develop pretty quickly if it hasn't already.

To see if a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch has soft spots or not, glide your hands across the body. Press gently on all sides and make sure there isn't any give. If there isn't, then you can purchase that pumpkin with a lot more confidence.

Be Open to Socializing

One of the best things about pumpkin patches is socializing with others at the event. You can bring your kids, and they can interact with others, making this pumpkin selection process much more enjoyable from start to finish.

You can also ask others about how to select the perfect pumpkin if you don't have much experience doing so yourself. Experienced pumpkin-patch goers can show you what red flags to look out for and what makes a pumpkin great long-term. You can then save yourself from searching for a long time and potentially ending up with something rotten.

There are pumpkin patches all over the US every fall, and they're the perfect event to attend if you're looking for some pumpkins. You can make your next pumpkin patch adventure a successful one if you know what to look for in pumpkins and open yourself up to these fun and memorable experiences. Ultimately, have fun and be in the moment.
